The 1853 3-Band Enfield Musket saw service in the hands of both Federal and Confederate during the Civil War. The 1853, also known as the "First Model" was manafactured between 1853 and 1863 by a large number of contractors including Royal Small Arms Factory and the London Armory Company. It features a case hardened lock, cold forged steel barrel, and a walnut stock with brass furniture.
